As Snowflake Analytics matures into a serious data ops business, we will evolve our own business model from its current managed services offering into a managed platform.


Our challenge is: 

  • Continue growing our customer base with an operating model that is based on people time
  • Build our technology roadmap and associated products to scale analytics as a capability 
  • Grow our technical teams into 2 disciplines:

    • Develop a product engineering team 
    • Develop a customer engineering team


This multi-disciplined role will encompass: 


  • Client Service Delivery
  • Project Management
  • Product Development


As our Delivery Manager,  your immediate responsibility will be: 

  • Continuing to refine our managed service offering
  • Maximising our utilisation based services
  • Leading a team of Data Engineers and Consultants, you will be ensuring the success of customer engagements
  • Managing a team of highly skilled engineers and preparing them to thrive in a dynamic business that will change and evolve. 


You will also rapidly define, design and develop a framework to build out our platform for our customers to orchestrate their competitive advantage - scaling data and embedding it into every layer of the organisation. 


Whether services, product or both, this multi-disciplined role will ensure a quality delivery, evolving solution offerings and supporting our sales team in developing a strong pipeline of opportunities. 


What you’ll do


  • Managing Professional Services Business
    • Service delivery - Manage communications and escalations with customers
    • Drive consulting business objectives
    • Track and achieve assigned quarterly revenue target
    • Participating in the scheduled business reviews, Project Review Councils and resourcing meetings
    • Apply management best practices such as succession planning, member performance reviews, and finance management
  • Business Development
    • Drive creation of internal best practices, methodologies, templates, tools for standardization of engagements
    • Actively seeking to identify opportunities to participate in business initiation activities
    • Recommending strategic and tactical plans for expanding our footprint
  • Product Development
    • Product Vision - Compliment the executive team in defining and driving the product strategy
    • Product Execution

      • Be the expert on modern forms of product planning, customer discovery, product discovery, and product development process
      • Ensure the team’s ability to execute consistently, rapidly, and effectively
    • Team Development

      • Develop a strong team of product owners and designers. This means making recruiting, training and ongoing coaching the top priority  
      • Realise that developing great people requires a different set of skills than developing 
    • Product Culture

      • Support founders to build a product culture based on a strong team and a solid vision that consistently execute. 
      • You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating your team, ensuring smooth team operations and effective communication

What you’ll need to succeed


Services

  • Prior professional services and/or product delivery experience
  • Functional and Service level Requirements Analysis
  • Experience working under the framework of billable hours and utilisation requirements
  • Service and Implementation Management Process Design skills
  • A proven track record demonstrating good business judgment, an ability to make decisions and passion for excellence


Product

  • A demonstrated track record of setting product vision and strategy working with engineering and UX/UI teams to deliver SaaS products
  • You have commercial experience and commercial mindset
  • You will be passionate about innovation and continuous learning, you will bring the following key skills and experience:

    • Minimum 3-5 years experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a large Agile environment
    • Proven experience in scoping and planning projects
    • Proven experience delivering products in public cloud environments
    • Demonstrated stakeholder and relationship management
    • Display an understanding of Agile methodologies and the Software Development Life Cycle
    • Strong presentation skills and experience creating user stories in JIRA


General

  • Results oriented business leader with solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&Ls, and complex pricing models
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • People management. Ability to lead and motivate teams
  • Ability to grasp product and technical knowledge quickly
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
